STELLARTON – Two seven-week-old Labrador/German Shepherd mix puppies were found with their throats slashed near the old Westray railway bridge in Stellarton.

The pups were both rushed to the New Glasgow Vet Clinic where they were treated and are expected to recover.

In a release, police stated a woman driving along the road noticed the two pups near the old bridge. One pup had its throat torn open and was covered in blood. A second pup had strayed from the area but was also cut in the neck.

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the owners of the dogs.
