TRENTON – No one was injured when a salt truck struck a home on Chestnut Street in Trenton Wednesday morning.

The driver of the salt truck was coming down the hill towards 50 Chestnut St. when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the front entryway of the home.

The home is owned by Carol and Robert Doucette. Carol had just completed a backshift and was asleep in the rear bedroom when the truck crashed into the home.

The home is badly damaged. It is off its foundation on one side and the ceiling is collapsing in the living room, the location where the plow came to a stop.
