It’s been a little over a month but the questions have finally been answered.

About 60 questions regarding the monitoring and compliance of Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation that were presented to the Department of Environment have been answered and made public.

Matt Gunning, one of the founders of the Clean Up the Pictou County Pulp Mill Facebook Page, along with Bobbi Morrison and Paul Gregory, sat down with representatives from the department on Aug. 27.

Marc Theriault of Nova Scotia Environment delivered the written responses to the questions on Sept. 30.

The questions, taken from posts by members of the Facebook page, dealt with a range of topics including monitoring, the cleanup plan for Boat Harbour, enforcement options, directives, landfills, inspections and provincial and national regulation.
