Yarmouth resident still searching for clues in 1863 southwestern N.S. Jerome mystery
YARMOUTH, N.S. – He’s still always looking for clues.
NEW GLASGOW – The 2014 Relay for Life will still have the same message of hope, but it will be at a different time and day.
Next year’s Relay will be held on Saturday from noon until midnight. Previous events had started on Friday from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Relay organizer Tyler Cameron noted that this is a pilot project and is one of the first in the province.
“We felt that this would make things considerably easier for volunteers, organizers and participants,” said Cameron. “Holding the event on a Saturday will hopefully be easier for families and open the event up to the community.”
He noted that organizers often had to take time off work on Friday to get the event set up in time.
“We’ve been in contact with last year’s teams and we had a positive response to the change,” said Cameron.
The 2014 Relay for Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, at the Scott Weeks Track in New Glasgow.
