Slow start to LORDA syrup production

Heavy snowfall left many in the county in the dark today.
Nova Scotia Power reported that over 2,300 in Pictou County were without power this morning.
The expected restoration time was 2 p.m. for most, but restoration times have been pushed back in some locations with crews working to get power back on. As of 2:30 p.m. they have the number of people without power down to 1,634.
By 3 p.m. they had outages down to 929 in the county.
As of 6:05 p.m. power has been completely restored according to Nova Scotia Power's website. Around 6:30 p.m. Loch Broom Loop was re-added to the list of outages with a new estimated restoration time of 10 p.m.
