PICTOU – A Bridgewater woman has pleaded not guilty to robbery stemming from an incident outside a local drug store last September.

Rosina Virginia Ernst, 20, is charged in connection with an alleged incident in September when a woman was sprayed in her face with an irritant and had her purse stolen when she was in the parking lot of Shoppers Drug Mart.

Ernst entered not guilty pleas through her lawyer in Pictou Provincial Court Monday and has elected to have her trial held in Pictou Supreme Court by judge with a preliminary inquiry to be held May 8.

Two other Bridgewater men, Justin Piercy, 30, and his brother, Jayden Piercy, 25, will return to Pictou court in March on charges of robbery and wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence.
