LANSDOWNE – Jim Crawford holds out a cup filled with a clear liquid. It doesn’t look like much – in fact it just looks like water.
WESTVILLE - Traffic was being diverted early Friday afternoon after a truck went into the ditch on Cowan Street.
A Hazardous Materials team was called in to clean up leaking gasoline.
Sgt. Chisholm with Westville Police said the driver passed out at the wheel due to health reasons, and ended up in the ditch, taking a power pole out.
Chisholm said there’s no criminal action involved.
Both the driver and passenger of the truck had only minor injuries.
Fire Department members and both Westville and Stellarton Police were on scene.
No power customers were expected to be affected by the downed lines as they are for fiber optics.
