TRURO – The lottery ticket winnings in Truro continue.

The Atlantic Lottery Corporation announced a major win in Saturday’s Lotto 649 draw came from a ticket sold in Truro. The corporation’s website notes the win was for $1 million in the Lotto 649 guaranteed cash draw.

There were four winning tickets for the main jackpot of $7 million – two sold in Ontario, and one each in British Columbia and Western Canada.

Along with the $1 million guaranteed cash draw win, a ticket worth $64,900 was also purchased in the Truro area. That ticket was thanks to matching five of six numbers, plus the bonus, in the Atlantic 49 draw.

These are the latest winning lottery tickets sold in the Truro area. At the end of November, a group of 16 coworkers from Parkland Truro claimed a prize of $1 million, while three weeks later, a truck driver from New Brunswick was $1 million richer after purchasing a winning Maxmillions ticket during a dinner stop in the area. Between those two wins, a ticket sold in Truro was the winner of a $100,000 TAG prize through LottoMax.
