Canada Post will be unveiling a new Hank Snow commemorative stamp today at the Hank Snow Home Town Museum in Liverpool.

Hank’s son, Rev. Jimmy Rodgers Snow has assisted in developing the stamp and will be on-hand for the unveiling. The Hank Snow commemorative stamp will actually be issued July 31 as part of a series of stamps featuring Canadian Country performers. Canada Post is providing a sneak peak Friday in Liverpool as part of the Museum’s Hank Snow 100th Birthday Bash Open House.

Hank Snow’s story was a remarkable one, a story of talent and determination, of a Nova Scotia boy who became country music royalty, performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville for four and a half decades.
