A man offering candy approached a student walking home from G.R. Saunders Elementary School last week.
The student was walking on Bridge Street on June 12th when the man approached them.
The student immediately returned to school and reported the incident, police were notified and a letter was sent home to parents.
“I am sending this note home not to alarm, but to remind the members of the G.R. Saunders community that it is always important to be aware of our surroundings,” Principal Brian MacIsaac stated in a letter that was sent home.
Stellarton Police Chief Don Hussher said police are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information can call the department at 752-6160.
