New Glasgow Regional Police is investigating a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in New Glasgow.
Police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision at the intersection on Westville Road. A 76-year-old woman was crossing Westville Road in a marked crosswalk and was struck by a Ford Escape SUV driven by an adult male driver that was travelling from Atlantic Superstore and making a left southbound turn onto Westville Road.
The pedestrian suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Aberdeen Hospital by EHS.
New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate. Charges against the adult male are pending.
