Powwow continues in Pictou Landing

During the Grand Entry, all spectators are asked to rise as flags and eagle staffs of the hosts and visitors are brought in.

The 2014 Pictou Landing Aboriginal Mi’kmaq First Nations 22nd Annual Powwow continued Saturday with the Grand Entry which includes dance and drumming displays as well as participants dressed in traditional Mi’kmaq clothing.

 During the Grand Entry, all spectators are asked to rise as flags and eagle staffs of the hosts and visitors are brought in. The powwow is a celebration of Mi’kmaq culture and spirit.
