New DNA testing leads to charges in 2005 Halifax homicide case
Halifax police say further evidence testing led to charges laid Thursday in the homicide of Naomi Kidston 12 years ago.
New Glasgow Regional Police arrested an adult female from New Glasgow Friday in connection with a series of smashed windows in the downtown area of New Glasgow.
The 34-year-old was charged with 12 counts of mischief involving smashed windows of various businesses in the downtown area that occurred from the month of April to the month of July.
“The investigation took place over several weeks involving several specialized units and the arrest has brought a sense of relief to the downtown area.” Const. Ken MacDonald of the New Glasgow Regional Police said.
The suspect will be appearing in court on Monday and will be released upon conditions.
