Woman charged with mischief over alleged damages

PICTOU – A New Glasgow woman is charged with causing damage to many businesses in the downtown New Glasgow area during two separate incidents in April and July. 

Rose Ann Robson-Gillis, 35, is accused of causing mischief by causing damage to three businesses on Provost Street, New Glasgow, and three businesses on Archimedes Street, New Glasgow, on April 20, 2014. Damage at each of the locations is under $5,000. She is also charged with damage to businesses on George Street, Riverside Parkway, Archimedes and Provost streets in New Glasgow on July 13. 

The alleged incidents are the breaking of windows in the downtown business sector. 

Monday was Robson-Gillis's first court appearance in Pictou so she will return to provincial court on Sept. 2 to enter pleas.
