Small B.C. community in mourning after four found dead in rural home
ASHCROFT, B.C. — A remote community in British Columbia's Interior is in mourning after police found four people dead in a home.
Charges are pending against an adult male after a search in Priestville.
On Aug. 20 at approx. 5:30 p.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) executed search warrants at a residence on Walkerville Road.
A 40-year-old male was arrested without incident. Police seized 200 unstamped cigarettes, cocaine, various prescription and amphetamine pills and five long barrelled firearms.
The man was released from custody and will appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Dec. 1st, 2014 on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Unstamped Tobacco under the Excise Act and unsafe storage of firearms under the Criminal Code.
The investigation continues.
