Stellarton lines up events to mark Heritage Day
The Town of Stellarton will celebrate Nova Scotia Heritage Day with a sledding party, music, hot chocolate and snowshoeing.
Visitors to the Museum of Industry on Monday can learn about how snowshoes are made and how they've changed over the years.
The Museum of Industry in Stellarton will be celebrating Heritage Day by offering free admission from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
Members of Active Pictou County will be on site from 1 to 3 p.m. with snowshoes on hand for people to try out snowshoeing on the Museum grounds.
Inside, staff will demonstrate how to lace the webbing on snowshoes. Visitors also can see different styles of snowshoes and how they have evolved over the years.
Kids can enjoy the self-directed craft tables. The Museum’s hands-on exhibits will be open throughout the day as well.
