People of all ages are invited to stop by between noon and 4 p.m. for games on the beach, including egg toss, golf ball scavenger hunts, volleyball and washer toss.
Lifeguards Colin MacIntosh and Kali Caulier say this beach day and things like the junior lifeguard program are there to promote fun and safe activity at the beach.
The Junior Lifeguard program runs Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. to noon. Youth between ages 8 and 15 are invited to come up to the lifeguard chair and talk to the guards. It’s set up for young people to explore what it’s like to be a lifeguard and learn some of the basic skills that go along with the job.
