Amy Hood, teacher charged with sexual assault, to enter pleas July 28

Amy Hood, a teacher charged with sexual assault and luring minors, will return to court July 28 to enter a plea on these and other related charges. She was represented in Pictou Provincial court this morning by lawyer Joel Pink.

Both the crown and defence agreed to the adjournment to allow defence time to look over disclosure information.

Hood was charged by Stellarton RCMP as a result of an 11-week investigation following a complaint received from Thorburn Consolidated School.

She is charged with one count of sexual assault, one count of sexual interference, two counts of luring minors over the Internet for a sexual purpose and two counts of sexual exploitation of a young person.
