All participating students earned their way to the regional fair based on their performance at a school-based science fair.
The Chignecto West Regional Science Fair is open to students in grades 4-12 from the Nova and Cobequid families of schools (except North Colchester) and the Chignecto Family of Schools west of Highway 104 including Amherst. The Chignecto East Regional Science Fair is open to students in grades 4-12 from the Celtic Family of Schools, schools in North Colchester and the Chignecto Family East of Highway 104, except Amherst.
Participating students are separated into the following categories:
Elementary – grades 4-6.
Junior – grades 7-8.
Intermediate – grades 9-10.
Senior – grades 11-12.

Location: Gymnasium (C 157), Pictou Campus, Nova Scotia Community College, 39 Birch St., Stellarton
Schedule:
9:00 am -12:00 pm First round of judging.
12:00 pm -1:00 pm Lunch break.
1:15 pm Second round of judging.
Awards ceremonies for both regional fairs will be held the evening of March 27, beginning at 7:00 pm. The Chignecto West awards ceremony will take place in the AV Room at CEC. The Chignecto East awards ceremony will take place in the gymnasium at the Pictou Campus of the NSCC.
