PICTOU, N.S.

The Pop Classics only fall show will include an evening of celebration focused on local tourism and culture.

Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores is hosting a one-night event with the Pop Classics on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the deCoste Entertainment Centre that will include a three-course meal catered by the Pantry Kitchen.

“Last year, we did Taste and Sail and we are still interested in doing a ferry dinner again, but this year, we thought we would try something different,” said Cindy MacKinnon, manager of DEANS. “Everything lined up for us. The Pop Classics were available, the venue was available, the cater was available and we weren’t in conflict with any other event happening. Everything worked out.”

MacKinnon said this is Pop Classics only show for this season and the evening will start off with sets in between dinner and a full show afterwards. The Pop Classics will be doing its Quad Tribute that will feature songs by Neil Young, The Beetles, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles.

A reception will take place at 6 p.m. and dinner performances start at 7 p.m.

“It’s a great night to celebrate the arts and culture and food and music,” she said. “DEANS does this as a fundraiser as well and it is important for us to put the DEANS name out there.”

Tickets are $85 taxes in, and are available now at the deCoste Entertainment Centre Box Office.
