Fire damages home, 8 escape safely

Two adults and six children along with their dog made it safely out of their home in Linacy Wednesday morning after a fire started causing significant damage to the interior of the home.

Fire significantly damaged this Linacy home.

 

Linancy Fire Department responded to the call assisted by New Glasgow, Thorburn and Little Harbour. Together they quickly put out the blaze.

Linacy Chief Dennis Pettipas said it appears it was an accident that started the fire, although he did not give details on exactly how.
