Fire destroys shed in Merigomish

Firefighters responded to a structure fire on the Shore Road in Merigomish Thursday morning.

Heat from the fire melted the vinyl siding of the nearby home but firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading.

Merigomish Fire Department was assisted by the Barney's River Fire Department on the call.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
