Fire guts home on Sylvester Road

No one was injured after this home on Sylvester Road in Greenhill was gutted by fire on Tuesday afternoon.

An official with the Alma Fire Department said no one was believed to have been home when the blaze broke out, and a cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Fire departments from New Glasgow, Westville, Central West River and Abercrombie also were on the scene.
