The Pictou County Wellness Centre, YMCA of Pictou County and Pictou Landing First Nation held a flag raising ceremony Friday morning at the Pictou County Wellness Centre. June is National Indigenous History Month. Chief Andrea Paul said it is great to see the flag flying at the Pictou County Wellness Centre and that it is a reflection of the reconciliation that has taken place in the community. This weekend, Pictou Landing will be hosting their annual powwow celebration which will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. and will end later in the afternoon on Sunday once the flags are retired.
