NEW GLASGOW – When preparing for a marksmanship competition, you’ve got to set your sights high and stay on target. Literally.
That’s what thirty cadets from across Northern Nova Scotia did on Saturday at the New Glasgow Armories. Six cadets units from Port Hawkesbury, Antigonish and Pictou County participated with hopes of capturing top honours.
The marksmanship team from 219 New Glasgow Army Cadet Corp came in first place followed by second place 285 Antigonish Army Cadet Corps and third place 374 F/L Chisholm Air Cadet Squadron in Westville.
This is the sixth year in a row that New Glasgow’s army cadets have brought home the gold. A spot in the provincial competition is all but assured.
