Local named best overall performer at 44th National Music Festival

Marcel D'Entremont, from Merigomish, won both the first place for voice and the $5,000 Grand Awards prize for best overall performer at the 44th National Music Festival.

Nova Scotia's team competed 44th National Music Festival which concluded with a Grand Awards Concert Saturday evening, at the Rotary Centre for the Arts in Kelowna, BC.

Nova Scotia received outstanding results from these competitions.
