"Pictou District RCMP would like to sincerely thank local residents for their overwhelming support during these past days," reads a news release. "The tragedy in our policing family has been felt all across Canada and the support that has been shown by local residents has been comforting."
Pictou County RCMP have set up a book of condolences at the Pictou and Stellarton Detachments that may be signed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. between June 9 and 13.
"We will send the books to the Codiac Detachment in New Brunswick next week. Again, we thank you for your support."
