Making for shore outside Pictou

The coast guard is stationed out of Pictou and is on call 24 hours a day, but its operational hours are noon to 8 p.m. seven days a week. This summer, the students have responded to 10 calls, mainly search and rescue missions. They patrol the waters between Wood Islands, P.E.I., Arisaig and Tatamagouche.
