The RCMP in Halifax are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in two people being ejected from a vehicle on Friday evening.
Police say the accident happened on Highway 103 outbound between Exit 3 and 4 near Timberlea around 6:30 p.m.
Police say a man in his 50s from the Halifax area and a woman from Prince Edward Island, also in her 50s, were ejected from the car.
The woman was airlifted to hospital in Halifax with life-threatening injuries. The man was taken to the QEII hospital by ambulance and has serious injuries.
Traffic was diverted away from the crash site for several hours as police investigated.
