PICTOU – A New Glasgow man will return to Pictou provincial court later this month on motor vehicle charges.

Lloyd Andrew Crosby, 40, is charged with evading police, driving while disqualified and failure to stop at a collision, an offence involving bodily harm. All charges were laid in relation to an alleged incident on June 7 in New Glasgow.

New Glasgow Regional Police issued a statement Friday saying a collision occurred at 7:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Bernard and Almont Avenue. Police say the driver of a Mercedes SUV fled the scene following the collision and a woman driving a jeep was treated by Emergency Health Services.

His next court appearance is June 18. He will continue to be held in custody until his time.
