New Glasgow police are still searching for Shawn Michael Bonvie, the man police believe robbed the Glasgow Pub on Stewart Street in New Glasgow last week.
At approximately 1 p.m. on Oct. 12 New Glasgow Regional Police were called to the tavern. According to information police were able to obtain in their investigation, a lone suspect entered the tavern and demanded money. One staff member was present and was grabbed, assaulted and forced into a room. The staff member suffered minor injuries.
The suspect, whom police believe to be Bonvie, fled the tavern on foot with a quantity of cash. Police immediately responded and were assisted by Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Truro Police K-9.
Bonvie is described as a 36-year-old white male with short brown hair, blue eyes, 5’8” and approximately 200lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown zip-up hooded sweater. Const. Ken MacDonald of the New Glasgow Regional Police Service said Bonvie is considered dangerous and people are advised not to approach him.
