PICTOU – The county wants to see if more signage will help ease littering in rural areas.
Warden Robert Parker said despite people being able to claim money for refunding containers, littering is still a problem along roads.
In the past, he said, motorists would see signs outlining the fines for littering, but there seems to be fewer of them around the county. Council supported a recommendation that the county contact the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal asking if the signs are still available through the province.
