Thousands of visitors flocked to the Pictou County Wellness Centre for the Pictou County Home Show, held last weekend, according to statistics released this week from the promoter.

“We knew there was demand for a show of this type from talking to folks in the area when we were first exploring the possibility,” said Denise Miller, senior show manager. “But we were blown away by the support the show received. Although the weather was a bit chilly, the facility was beautiful and we were so pleased with the fantastic content we were able to feature.”

With more than 4,000 visitors, the first annual Pictou County Home Show was an unquestionable success, she said.

The show was held in conjunction with the Stones RV Spring Forward Sales Event at the Wellness Centre. One admission gave visitors access to both shows.

“We are extremely encouraged by the support for our first ever ‘Spring Forward’ RV event at the Pictou County Wellness Centre,” said Jonathan Stone, Stones RV & Home Centre. “We would like to thank the people of Pictou County and all over Nova Scotia for making this event a huge success. We are looking forward to growing this event to bigger and better heights for years to come.”

Feedback from all associated with the show was overwhelmingly positive, with exhibitors reporting solid leads and sales on the show floor, the organizers said.

“We feel the home show was a great success, promoting our business and development,” said Joyce Winmill of Winmill Electric Ltd. “The organizers were visible and always ready to help; professional, skilled people.”

Scott Sampson of Deck It Ltd. said it was a real success as well.

“We were privileged to have been able to attend and will definitely be back next year.”

The Pictou County Home Show is already expected to return for its second edition in the spring of 2018.
