Pictou discusses ways to welcome businesses

PICTOU – Town council will discuss during its next meeting how roll to out the welcome mat for new businesses.

Coun. Malcolm Houser said it would be nice for the town to come up with a plan to make a new business owner feel welcome. He said the gesture could be as simple as having a bouquet of flowers sent to them to let them know their business is appreciated.

Council agreed to bring the matter back in two weeks’ time for discussion during its monthly meeting.
