Pictou County RCMP, EHS and fire services from Alma and Westville were called at about noon to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the eastbound lane of the Trans-Canada in Limerock. Preliminary investigation determined a mid-sized car struck the rear end of a dump truck hauling gravel.
The female driver and lone occupant of the car was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The eastbound lanes were closed for several hours and re-routed onto Highway 4 at Exit 19 as the RCMP investigated the scene.
