Purple paradise

The 2018 Seafoam Levender Festival is taking place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a wide range of events. People can pick their own lavender from the nearby garden or taste lavender treats available in the food tent.  Such goodies include lavender oat cakes, shortbread, apple pie and lavender ice cream.   There are also educational demonstrations taking place throughout the day including Lavender 101.  The lavender U-Pick will be open for the next few weeks.  Here, 13-year-old Hailey Ivy of Westville picks lavender in the U-Pick.
