PICTOU - Three local people have been charged following a search of a New Glasgow residence earlier this week.
The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of New Glasgow Regional Police, executed a search warrant on Dover Avenue, New Glasgow on Sept. 4 at 3 p.m.
At the time, police at this time, police seized a quantity of cocaine, cannabis marihuana, cannabis resin, cash, and other property associated with drug trafficking.
Subsequently, police arrested a 22-year-old man, 20-year-old man, and 20-year-old woman, all from New Glasgow.
At this time, the 20-year-old man and 20-year-old woman are each facing three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
The 22-year-old male is facing one count of trafficking, three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of stolen property. All three people have been released from police custody and will appear in provincial at a later date.
