The Johnny Miles Running Event is taking place this weekend and people in Pictou County can expect some changes to their usual traffic flow.

All streets will be open to pedestrian traffic as usual during the Johnny Miles Running Event.

Provost Street from George Street to MacLean Street will be closed to traffic from 6 p.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday.

The George Street Bridge will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sunday to ensure the safety of all runners.

The northbound lane from Canary Drive, New Glasgow, to Bridge Avenue, Stellarton (Abercrombie Road, Stellarton Road, and Foord Street) will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Bridge Avenue, Stellarton, will be closed with only southbound traffic allowed from 6:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Sunday. Cameron Avenue, Terrace Heights Drive and Terrace Street will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The Trans-Canada Highway Exit 24 eastbound ramp will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday.

There will be no vehicle access to the New Glasgow Marina on Sunday between 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and Glasgow Square Theatre Parking Lot will be closed until 6 p.m.
