UPDATED: New Glasgow Regional Police have located 19-year-old Ahmed Mohammed from New Glasgow who was missing.
Mohamed from New Glasgow, had been last seen at the Glasgow Pub, Stewart Street New Glasgow, at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday. and police issued a statement asking for the public's help Saturday evening.
The New Glasgow Regional Police, Pictou County District RCMP and RCMP K-9 thoroughly investigated the matter. Mohamed, and his vehicle were located on Highway 4 near Salt Springs, NS by an RCMP police dog.
The 19-year old's vehicle was extensively damaged from a single vehicle collision. The police dog was used to locate the missing man who was then transported to the Aberdeen Hospital with serious injuries. The search was conducted after a Salt Springs resident called police, discovering an unoccupied vehicle over an embankment.
Just before 11:00 p.m., the vehicle was located about 100 meters from the road in a wooded area.
The Pictou County District RCMP and New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate the matter.
