Woman pleads guilty to drug charge

PICTOU – A Stellarton woman has pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Ashley Guthro, 23, had the guilty plea entered by her lawyer on her behalf Monday in Pictou provincial court. Five additional possession for the purpose of trafficking charges were withdrawn by the Crown when the guilty plea was entered.

The charges were laid in relation to a police search of Stellarton home in September 2016.

Her sentencing will take place in Pictou provincial court on April 9.
