Patrick Heighton was one of four participants competing in a CNC machining competition at the NSCC Pictou campus in Stellarton on Thursday morning.
Participants test their abilities against others in the program across the province. The winner will have the chance to compete at a national competition for the trade.
Machining instructor Glenn Baxter said it’s a great way for the students to test their abilities and allows others to learn by watching.
Jordan Manuel received gold. Austin Whitehead placed second and Heighton placed third.
