Man facing trial on drug, weapon charges

PICTOU – A Westville man has pleaded not guilty to a wide range of drug and weapon charges.

Peter Alvin DeWolfe, 53, of Mountville is charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a judicial recognizance in relation to a search and seizure at a commercial business in Westville in September.

He is also facing multiple weapon charges related to an alleged incident on Aug. 31.

He entered not guilty pleas to the majority of the charges and three days have been aside for trial, on Feb. 8, 14 and 15 in Pictou provincial court.
