New Glasgow Regional Police Service are looking for the driver of a grey Mercedes SUV who fled the scene of an accident in New Glasgow Thursday morning.
The collision happened approximately 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bernard and Almont Avenue and involved the Mercedes and a Jeep. The female driver of the Jeep was treated on scene by EHS for non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
A section of the road was closed for approximately two hours while the New Glasgow police K9 unit was brought in to track the driver, who fled on foot.
New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate and ask that anyone with information either call the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
