PICTOU – Local horse barns will be getting a call from the Town of Pictou asking riders to clean up after their animals.
Coun. Nadine LeBlanc said she received calls from residents concerned about horse droppings on Prince, Wellington and Patterson streets and questioned if horse riders have to follow the same rules for clean-up as dog owners.
Town staff said the issue has come up in the past and usually a call to the horse owners or local barns helped resolve the issues. If this doesn’t correct the problem this time, the issue will come back to council for further discussion.
