Linacy, N.S.

Two men are in custody following the stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Linacy.

Around 7 p.m. on September 16, Pictou District RCMP responded to an assault with a weapon at a home on Merigomish Road, in Linacy.

When officers got to the house, they were told an 18-year-old man had been stabbed several times by another man. The suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a third man. The victim had also left the home before police arrived.

Officers found the suspect vehicle a short time later and arrested the 23-year-old driver and the 31-year-old passenger for assault with a weapon.

The victim was located and police verified he had stab wounds to his upper body. He was offered medical treatment.
