PICTOU – A vacant school board office on Westville Road could soon be in the hands of county council.
County Warden Robert Parker said the Chignecto-Central Regional Education Centre has moved its offices to a school in Trenton which has left the former school vacant.
Vacant buildings are turned over to the municipalities they are located in so council expects it to soon be in its hands. Parker said contact has been made with the CCREC to see what its plans are for the building, but he hasn’t received word back. The warden said one idea for the building was to have it occupied by the new Regional Enterprise Network, but nothing can be done until it hears of CCREC’s plans.
