Daniel Adam Macinnis

Daniel Adam MacInnis, 53, of Calahoo, AB, formerly of Moose River, Pictou Co., NS, passed away at home on Feb. 2nd, 2018, with his wife at his side. He fought a brave battle with cancer, and now is at peace. Dan was born on May 24, 1964, at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow, NS. He grew up in Moose River,the son of Katherine Janet (nee Cameron) MacInnis, and the late Ronald Gerald MacInnis. He is survived by his wife Roxanne (nee McNeely) MacInnis, son Colton MacInnis (Kayla), daughters Hilary MacInnis (Matt) and Hailey MacInnis (Andrew). He had one cherished grandson, Ryley MacInnis. Dan is also survived by his brother Todd (Nancy) MacInnis, and sister Tracy (Allan) Gillis, nephew Tanner Gillis and niece Ania Gillis. After high school, he moved to Alberta, and was most recently a hard and dedicated worker at Emco, in Edmonton, where he was also shop steward. Dan loved hunting, camping, fishing, having a fire and spending time with his family. He had many long phone calls with is brother, keeping up on things like politics. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. Cremation has taken place, and per his request, there will not be a service. Donations in his memory to your local SPCA would be appreciated.
