Edward Phillip Archibald
Phillip Archibald Edward Phillip (Phil) Archibald left this world on Sunday, January 28, 2018 just as he came into the world, surrounded by love. Born on October 29, 1960 Phil brought his bigger than life personality to all who knew him. His quick wit, love of a good joke and devilish grin made him a true gentleman. Phil was employed by, Summer Street Industries, until his retirement in 2011. He was an active participant in Special Olympics Track and Field and Bowling. He loved dancing, singing, Tim Hortons and all of the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. He was always up for a good practical joke and couldn’t miss Hockey Night in Canada. Besides being a Leafs fan, followed by Vancouver and then Calgary, he maintained consistency with those he loved – and that is something he did deeply and unconditionally. Phillip was predeceased by his mother and father; George and Isabelle (Hingley) Archibald, along with, sisters Vera Heighton, and Connie Barkhouse, brothers Owen Archibald, and Dexter Archibald. He is survived by his siblings, Rose (Brian) Busby, Brookfield, Joan (Alec) Dunbar, Henry (Eleanor) Archibald, British Columbia, and Alton (Dora) Archibald, Bible Hill, along with, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, his extended family at Highland Community Residential Services and the Daley family of Westville (Catherine and Bob). He will be sadly missed by, his roommates; Joey Aucoin, Carl MacDonald, and Fred Campbell, and the staff at 14 Viggo Holm Road whose hearts he touched in an epic way. Phil taught us many things, but first and foremost he taught us all how to live for the moment. Donations in Phillip’s memory may be made to Highland Community Residential Services Foundation as requested by the family. “So long my friend, until we meet again, may you dance and sing with the angels”
