Kathleen Ferguson

FERGUSON, Kathleen E. Bay View FERGUSON, Kathleen Ellen (nee MacFarlane), of Bay View, Pictou County, passed suddenly but peacefully, on March 2, 2018 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. A daughter of the late Robert & Isabel (MacLeod) MacFarlane, she was born on Caribou Island, and enjoyed a happy childhood in Three Brooks with sisters, Elvira, Bernice, Velma and brother, Vernon. After careers in teaching and with Bell Telephone and Department of Public Works in Ottawa, Kathleen resided for a time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and returned to Pictou in 1978. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Pictou. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Jack Ferguson; sister, Bernice (Nelson); brother-in-law, Ron Gay, and many nieces and nephews, including nephew, Bobby Thorne (Beverly) with whom she was especially close. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Elvira, Velma; and brother, Vernon. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
