Linda Marie Macneill — New Glasgow

TRENTON – Linda Marie MacNeill, 68, Trenton, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 20, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family. Born in Saulnierville, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Saulnier) Smith. Linda was a volunteer for the Heather Figure Skating Club, canvassed for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and was a faithful member of the former Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Surviving are sons, Thomas (Angela) Pennington, New Glasgow; Dale (Amy) Pennington, Trenton; step sons, Robert MacNeill, Pictou County; Dean MacNeill, Ontario; step daughter, Lana (Tom) Davis, Union Center; grandchildren, Samantha; Ali; Adam; Jake; and Brooke Pennington; numerous step-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Elie) Melanson, Saulnierville; Gloria Speichts, Digby; Donna (Chester) Smith, Digby; brothers, Fred (Anne), Church Point; Roy (Carol), Calgary, Alberta; Jim (Sharon), Saulnierville; Ron (Elaine), Ontario; sister-in-law, Cecile Smith, Saulnierville; many nieces and nephews Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by husband, Lawrence; sister, Alice; brother, Leonard. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow with Father Vargheese presiding. No flowers please.
